Essex County Council in UK will be initiating a pilot LED streetlight project next year, according to a report by Cambridge News.
The council’s decision came after it ranked on the bottom for street lighting with a score of 45.1 percent out of a league of 78 councils.
Up to 1,700 street lights will be converted to LED in six Essex areas, including Saffron Walden and Stansted Mountfitchet.
